Valentín Sanz : PIVVZZA

Set up a restaurant in a local only 40 square meters? A challenge for the young Spanish architect-designer Valentin Sanz, who realizes the PIVVZZA, an original and minimalist pizzeria located in the center of Soria (Spain).

Organized on a square plan of 40 meters to side, the establishment consists mainly of a dining room of 15 square meters, around which take place two spaces organized on an L-shaped plan: an open kitchen and WC located at bottom of the reception area.

In such a small area, storage is at the heart of development problems. Thus, before designing the project, the designer first made a thorough inventory of the tools essential to the proper functioning of the place, and then took care to integrate into a metal framework orthonormal many adaptations and adapted work planes. Each of the wooden elements thus has a specific place in this grid also serving as fixing posts for plywood walls. This game of full and empty organizes the premises in a rational and efficient way, so as not to clutter or embarrass restorers and customers.

Valentin Sanz also designed furniture made of metal and wood tables, and oak stools - stackable of course, to turn into high chairs. This tailor-made furniture provides maximum flexibility in the layout while providing a playground atmosphere.

A warm and playful place optimized with brilliance, where all the conditions are gathered to feast.
