Designed on an exceptional site located between lake and mountain, the hotel Yi Chen of Dali (China), designed by Chinese studio Li Yizhong Interior Design, is a haven of peace with a unique aesthetic combining rustic and contemporary elements.
Named in reference to a Wang Wei poem dating from the Tang Dynasty (6th century) and describing a green guesthouse "New willow color", the place of a floor area of 560 square meters consists of the rehabilitation of a four-level villa into an accommodation facility of eight penates.
In the garden level, previously containing only technical parts, Li Yizhong Interior Design studio sets up meeting rooms and a suite open on a green space dug specifically for them. The three upper floors each have a quadruple solar orientation and two rooms, almost all of which have an outdoor area. The complex is organized around a central atrium that brings natural light down to the ground floor in its reception areas (hall, kitchen and bar). On the top floor, a dimmed mezzanine bar completes the reception facilities offered to customers.
Mixing contemporary furniture and natural coating materials - wood, stone and plant additions -, the realization meets its geographical location, where we find these same elements.
The tranquility reigns supreme, in an atmosphere that makes its letters of nobility to the Asian way of life. A minimalist decor made of wood, plaster and raw concrete, which enhances the breathtaking views of Lake Erhai or Canshan Mountain.
An elegant achievement where everyone dreams of lounging to extend a little bit the Indian summer that comes to an end.
