Christopher Pierre Louis Dessus et Ubalt Architectes : Corea Corner

Developed in partnership with the Paris agency Ubalt Architectes, the hand-to-hand Christopher Pierre Louis Dessus, creator of PAF! - Architecture and printed publications workshop - and director of Pli, architecture and graphic design magazine, imagine in a pop-up store a pastel boudoir presenting achievements of Korean designers selected by the magazine say hi to_ and the Korean Institute of Design (KIDP).

All dressed in pink, this box soberly titled Corea Corner is blowing on the Marais district in Paris (3e) a fresh breeze straight from Seoul. Between gay colors evoking K-Pop, one of the most popular musical styles of the country, and contemporary and refined objects, the ephemeral boutique brings together some thirty works of creators from the Asian peninsula.

On the ground, perched on small pink stones, two stairs of the same shade welcome the various exhibits, which range from decorative elements to the art of the table through high-tech products.

The walls are embellished with two neons which recall the straight lines of the central steps, and are adorned with strips of bubble wrap, in the manner of curtains; all, always in the same color "kawaï". A unit of color complemented by a multitude of materials and textures that has made this place one of the flagship sites of Paris Design Week 2017.

A refined realization that combines elegance with the French and kernel of Korean madness.
