Located at 1 230 meters above sea level, the Miramonti Boutique Hotel overlooks the Dolomites Mountains (Italy). It offers its residents exceptional views of the surrounding scenic landscape, in a unique envelope both contemporary and vernacular, turned on the star of the region: the montage.
What was once a modest three-bedroom guest house is now, under the guidance of the Tara Alpine architecture agency, a luxurious hotel with more than thirty rooms and suites, three restaurants, a relaxation area , a sauna and an impressive infinity pool; all in order to offer customers an immersive experience of the most breathtaking.
In order to respect the identity of the original building, a chalet typical of the Alps, the designers have chosen to use only local wood for its extension, especially for its contemporary dark façades, embellished with new minimalist band windows. Essential breakthroughs since the aim of the agency was to open up the interior spaces on the outside, so that the tenants can enjoy the green spectacle unfolding before their eyes. Thus, the Panorama Restaurant has large bays, like the massage room enjoying a clear view of the mountain range, combining relaxation and wonder for a delight of all the senses.
The viewing experience extends out, with a saltwater pool overlooking the city of Merano, giving bathers the impression of swimming in a natural water reserve. To perpetuate this moment of grace, the architects also designed a small raised rectangular annex hiding a sauna in the middle of the forest. Here, the architecture never detaches from its site but integrates the contrary with brio.
An achievement in which, as the holidays approach, we dream of being able to relax.
