Stone Designs : Yakiniku Rikyu

In Madrid (Spain), the local agency Stone Designs realizes the interior design of the Japanese barbecue restaurant Yakiniku Rikyu. Between steel and wood, the place plunges its visitors into an atmosphere that is both raw and warm.

To create this one-storey 100 square meters restaurant located at the 15 number of Paseo de la Castellana, one of the most important road arteries of the Spanish capital, the designers have devised a cozy and relaxing haven.

Dark oak-paneled and lined with emerald green velvet, the first room of the establishment, with a covered 40 capacity, is illuminated by a soft light coming from neons dressed in brass running along the walls and opalescent oval suspensions inspired by lanterns. Japanese. A raw and dark atmosphere reinforced by the thick stainless steel plates horizontal sufaces used for cooking food.

For a more intimate moment, at the back of the room, there are four other smaller rooms hosting a single wooden table of four to six seats, closed by simple orange curtains or sliding walls made of rice paper, traditional elements of the Japanese architecture.

A subtle blend of past and present.
