Jean Philippe Nuel : Le Belleval

Remember your first apartment. The grandmother's armchair, the frames on the walls, the scented candles, the hanging wardrobe ... It may not have been the luxury, but it was your first home. An atmosphere that tried to recreate Jean-Philippe Nuel in the hotel Belleval, Paris (9e), where one feels instantly like at home.

Located in the heart of the Saint-Lazare district, the Belleval promises tourists an authentic Parisian experience. No question here of staying in an alienating palace! On the contrary, travelers are invited to put their suitcases in a place halfway between typical Haussmanian building and comfortable attic.

Assuming that traveling the world is also meeting people, the architect Jean Philippe Nuel imagines a bar and a restaurant open on the street, in the manner of a local bistro, welcoming both natives and residents of the hotel. This interstitial space extends into a spectacular hall where the original stone - in what was a hotel fallen into disuse - matches more contemporary furniture. This ground floor hosts, in addition to dining areas, the reception, a patio and a cozy library. A pleasant atmosphere that continues in the seven floors of the establishment and their 52 rooms.

The penates are adorned with an organic decor, as a nod to the name of the way they are installed: the rue de la Pépinière. It is in a flowery and comforting atmosphere that guests spend their nights there. While some of the furniture seems to be mottled, the rest has a contemporary design and sleek silhouettes, all taking place in a blue duck. The views of the Parisian rooftops, the dome of the Opera House and department stores are also helping to offer tourists a "French-style" bridle of life, as they dream through cinema.

"The props give a life and a story specific to each room, with a sense of humor and a shift that brings a touch of poetry. " Jean Philippe Nuel, architect

The basement of the Belleval, where the original stone has been completely restored, also conceals its share of surprises, with a state-of-the-art gym and spa.

A complete place where comfort and Parisian experience are unique.
