Interior designer, Virginie Friedmann surprises with the decoration of the Bistrot Rougemont composed on the theme of the garden, and for which the designer has worked on a nuance of greens. It's in the 9rd arrondissement of Paris that it delivers this renovation of an old brewery Parigote transformed into a restaurant, taking the codes of the authentic French bistro but revisited in its own way.
Installed at the 10 number of the eponymous street, the Bistrot Rougement has the elegance and radiance of the emerald with its shimmering reflections. These variations that orchestrate the decor with contemporary accents are inspired by the green of gray roofs and statues of Parisian gardens. Virginie Friedman persuaded Hugues Barretieri, the owner, to join his new restaurant in the family of "Neo-bistrots", whereas this one imagined instead to register his establishment in a traditional kind.
Result, Chef Anthony Poussel's cooking, "Inspired by the flavors of yesteryear", is served in a setting that oscillates between different eras. On the one hand, pastel walls with delicate moldings, combined with the bar counter, furniture and other supplies - among which sublime chiseled and opaline glass fixtures - exude a classic atmosphere typical of Maupassant's novels. On the other, a sculptural mirror composed of different 55 facets - which helps to enlarge the space -, to which are added benches and screen cloth dressed with exotic patterns register the Bistrot Rougemont in tune with the times.
The floor is in white marble of Thassos and in green marble of the Pyrenees. Outside, woven rattan terrace chairs and bistro tables complete this mosaic that is believed to be carried out over several centuries, and where it is not surprising to see Bel-Ami cleaving with Vernon Subutex.
