Blacksheep : Quattropassi Al Pescatore

Designed in 1960 by Prince Aga Khan, the Cervo Hotel is one of the emblematic places of Porto Cervo (Sardinia) and offers a unique show on the Costa Smeralda. Its restaurant, Il Pescatore, ushers in a new era for this luxurious package that will benefit from a five-step renovation by Blacksheep, London's design studio. The first gives back its nobility to the bistro, today renamed Quattropassi al Pescatore.

The rehabilitation carried out by the Blacksheep teams not only preserves the original architectural fabric but exacerbates the originality of the space drawn by the whitewashed stone and the numerous arches, notably by the addition of irregular monolithic travertine as a bar, fish counter, DJ booth and reception area. Its natural brown color is found in various materials and textures, from exposed beams to terracotta tiles and rattan furniture.

The layout tries to retranscribe the history of the place by inscribing it in a contemporary realization. Indeed, if a large part of the furniture is inspired by the 1960 years and refers to the early hours of the restaurant, it is counterbalanced by more contemporary and refined elements, like the light suspensions in glass overlooking the bar, designed by the studio British.

A mix of eras that are naturally found on the large terrace facing the Tyrrhenian Sea where sober natural wood chairs and tables are energized by braided light fixtures and transparent veils.

A refreshing update that does not neglect the strong identity of an iconic meeting point on the Italian island.
