Toro & Liautard : Appartement Turbigo

The interior designers Hugo Toro and Maxime Lieutard sign the decoration of a private apartment of 140 square meters under the eaves in the heart of the capital, in a masculine spirit playing with colors and noble materials.

The studio Toro & Liautard returns to the arena of interior architecture with brilliance. If the duo led by the French Hugo Toro and Maxime Liautard is not his first stroke of brilliance - they are at the origin of the restaurant La Perruche Pintemps Haussmann, Grand Cafe Capucines or BB Blanche - this apartment nestled under the roofs of Paris is their first residential project.

The genesis of this pied-à-terre with the retro charm of the 1970 years comes down to a carte blanche given by a couple of friends in this space of 140 square meters, instead of what was once a set of rooms of good.

With beautiful ceiling heights up to 4,5 meters - despite the constraint of an attic wall section they blow the walls - this place of life inspiration a speakeasy hosts a kitchen and a dining room all in length.

The warm tones of the various woods, found on the oak table, the Spanish bar chairs of the 1930 years, or the leather effect wallpaper of Cordoba, are awakened by the brilliance of brass that appears by keys, all punctuated with tricolor Italian marble.

On the other side of the imposing golden dividing columns placed between this space and the living room, the same color palette is inviting on the coffee tables, the mantel of the green ceramic chimney and the sofas in breakdown of velvet. On the furniture side, the custom-made creations of the studio and antique objects are laid on the parquet flooring of whitened oiled chain.

The day area with a black steel staircase leading to the roof terrace, offers a view to 360 degree on the capital. The sleeping area is served by a vaulted corridor with a series of doors behind which are hidden two bedrooms. The first is arranged around a bed rimmed with Macassar ebony, extended cane and glass panels enhanced by the blue celadon of the carpet, contrasting with the second to the more sober style.

The highlight of this rehabilitation carried out with mastery ? The bathroom, all pink dressed, terrazzo floor, to the walls in coated concrete, hosting a white porcelain hoof bath.

So chic!
