Studio Parisien : Grand Café d’Athènes

New address of Filakia, Greek signboard located in the 2ème and 5ème arrondissements, the Grand Café of Athens is a real invitation to travel. With its olive walls and typical dishes, this new temple of Mediterranean gastronomy is signed by Studio Parisien, to whom we also owe the restaurant Yoko (2ème arrondissement).

Installed in the middle of the Turkish, Italian or New York signs of the Faubourg Saint-Denis street (10ème arrondissement), the Grand Café d'Athènes offers us a little warmth and Hellenic authenticity. In a setting designed by Studio Parisien, mezzés and other Greek salads are presented to gourmets in dishes from local crafts. A visit to the south of Europe that prolongs the holidays a little longer.

Attracted by a terrace melant rattan chairs and bench covered with ocher cushions, the customer in lack of sun enters a place with patinated gray and olive walls partially covered with zelliges in which every detail counts.
The white wooden shelves are used for pieces of ceramics from Apulia (Italy) where dried plants flourish, while on white marble tables, surrounded by vintage wooden bistro chairs, dishes as colorful as their plates, among which the Jars Sharing collection stands out. Brown two-seater sofas with elegant brass details ensure conviviality and comfort for gourmands when a large green celadon counter allows you to wait for an Athenian Sunset by hand.

A place in which one would almost hear the cicadas singing.
