Transition ID : Montcalm

Located in the 18th arrondissement of the capital, the 170 square meter apartment has caught the eye of its owners thanks to its beautiful volumes and great brightness. However, his initial treatment, rather cold and austere, was in dire need of fresh air! It is now done, thanks to the inventiveness and taste of the Parisian agency Transition ID.

170 square meter duplex with a 100 square meter terrace located just behind the Montmartre hill, there is something to dream about! An ensemble with exceptional potential, revealed by the interior design firm Transition ID. For this project, Carla Lopez, co-founder of the agency, is betting on a return to the source and is trying to rediscover the initial charm of this apartment, while associating it with Scandinavian and modernist influences.

One of the first fields of action consists in the restructuring of spaces, hitherto awkwardly cut out. The entrance is on the lower level, which becomes, under the leadership of Transition ID, a night level. Formerly composed of four bedrooms and two shower rooms, this level is now equipped with a large “night and play” area for children, a parental suite and a guest bedroom.
While the upper floor was very largely partitioned, the project managers chose to open everything and create a unique room where kitchen, dining room and living room coexist, segmented by bay windows allowing the light of s flourish in this living space overlooking a green terrace.

On the decorative side, if the original parquet floor is revealed here and the white typical of Haussmannian interiors seems to dominate, colorful touches - from sage green paint to Cole & Son wallpaper through bright tiles and Terrazzo tiles Papermint - energize the whole. Wooden canopies and cloisters also help to delimit the spaces, while bringing warmth to the apartment. A living aspect of this renovation accentuated by the choice of furniture, ranging from Togo sofas by Michel Ducaroy blue to mustard velvet benches in the dining room part.

A rehabilitation with more than sure taste!
