Batiik Studio : Chez Amélie, l’Atelier

Batiik Studio has transformed the former studio of a painter into a bright apartment for Amélie du Chalard. Located at 8 rue Clauzel (9th arrondissement) in the same building as her Amélie gallery, Maison d'art, this triplex demonstrates a surprising economy of means and honors the works acquired by the collector.

For her Parisian apartment, the gallery owner Amélie du Chalard wanted to enhance the light and preserve the volume of the old workshop. By collaborating once again with Batiik Studio - the interior architecture and design agency founded by Rebecca Benichou in 2014 - she has thus imagined a minimalist space that gives pride of place to her personal collection of works and designs. 'art.

The apartment is large - 140 square meters spread over two levels -, and articulated around a main living room where the ceiling height is 9 meters. Under the mezzanine where the bedroom, bathroom and dressing room are located, the living room accommodates three bedrooms and a kitchen opening onto a huge living room. With a large glass roof, it is the heart of the house. Although the space is sober by its all-over of white, wood, corten steel and cane making it more intimate and warm without taking the upper hand over the many works on display.

A sophisticated triplex that gives pride of place to art.
