At a time when bio-based and ecological products are in order, the Atelier du Pont agency is imagining, for the organic cosmetics brand Avril, an organic clay interior. For the boutique on rue Montmartre in Paris (1st arrondissement), the architects created a case in ocher tones that perfectly reflected the spirit of the brand.

In order to better fit out the small shop, the Atelier du Pont partners, Anne-Cécile Comar and Philippe Croisier, offer a sober and elegant interior that reflects the universe and the values of the Avril Cosmétiques bio brand. Natural materials, respect for the environment and ecological awareness are indeed privileged: an authentic trade in the image of the brand.

The architects of Atelier du Pont, Claire Eugène and Clémence Giai, in charge of the project, have successfully completed the tour de force to optimize the layout of this commercial space of 66 square meters. Spatial organization was indeed a major issue given the obvious constraints of this cramped place. The architects have therefore completely removed the old space and opted for an ergonomic, functional and organic layout.

The interior, meanwhile, attests to the economy of means and the simplicity of the brand. All the walls, covered with raw earth encrusted with flax fibers, sparkle like an iridescent terracotta, giving the boutique its own identity and its cozy atmosphere. The arrangement is organized around rounded niches sculpted in clay welcoming the copper handwashers and the metal displays on which the products are placed. The ocher-tinted concrete floor, reminiscent of the natural basis of cosmetics, harmonizes harmoniously with the whole.

Simple and refined, the Avril Cosmétiques bio logo, crafted using the technique of Sgraffito, discreetly recalls the commercial dimension of the place.

A total immersion in the universe of the brand.
