Pauline Borgia, the founder of Atelier Steve, draws on her experience as an architect to carry out the renovation and fitting out of a Parisian apartment of 90 square meters. She imagines a colorful, fluid and luminous interior, where the herringbone parquet floor, the cast iron radiators and the historic fireplaces blend brilliantly with natural or ecological panels, colorful.

The renovation of the Jules César apartment is the first project, led by Atelier Steve, whose program is part of an ecological approach, from spatial organization to interior decoration, including the choice of materials organic, mineral or recycled. Pauline Borgia decided to keep the Haussmannian identity of this Parisian accommodation - the cast iron radiators and the old parquet floor are restored - while transforming it into a comfortable and bright home resolutely contemporary.

The renovation consists of the reorganization of the distribution of rooms, the optimization of space and the personalization of an interior.
It was a typically Parisian apartment with classic distribution. Redesigned to measure, housing is now seen as a place of life rooted in its time. The original partitions are perforated or lowered to promote the circulation of air and light by a through movement. Thanks to this tour de force, all the rooms are bathed in natural light, which makes it possible to delay, in summer as in winter, the time of artificial lighting.

The apartment is completely renovated according to an innovative eco-renovation approach: natural wood fiber panels, recycled cotton and gypsum fiber redesign the space. These panels, used for storage and partitions, allow the architect to play with the perspectives, textures and colors of the kitchen open to the dining room, the living room, the dressing room and the bedrooms. The water features are covered with terracotta tiles recovered from an old Ile-de-France farm and fitted with white ceramic bowls from a Parisian school.
The joinery, all in MDF - Medium Density Fiberboard - ecological, and the flat areas made in vegetable paint underline the agency's desire to create trendy interiors respectful of the environment.

A renovation, as ecological as it is trendy, which blends in with the times.
