Studio Briand & Berthereau arranged the space, designed the furniture and imagined the identity of the La Serre gallery, an exhibition space installed on the ground floor of l'Arbre Blanc in Montpellier

Created in 2011 by Joran Briand and Arnaud Berthereau, Studio Briand & Berthereau has set out to design a refined and modular interior to accommodate the La Serre gallery, an art gallery dedicated to contemporary creation.

The idea of the studio was to create an exhibition space, but also a place to live and work. This 440 square meter space spread over two levels has been specially fitted out to store and display works of art, as well as to serve as offices. On the ground floor are the exhibition space and the consultation room. Upstairs are the offices, meeting rooms and workshop space.

Fully modular, the spaces are designed to evolve according to the programming. A grid has indeed been placed under the gallery ceiling to hang spotlights, and custom-designed panels on which to hang works. A specific scenography can thus be invented at each exhibition.
