For the renovation and interior design of the Hotel Daunou, located a stone's throw from the prestigious Place Vendôme, Séverine Rebout, Laurent Klein and Philippe Tasso - co-founders of NOOOR - had carte blanche...
In the specifications, only one requirement: that the decoration be suitable for a clientele of businessmen and fashion players on the move for fashion weeks. The district, renowned for hosting major luxury brands, naturally served as a common thread for their inspirations.
Thus, the Daunou hotel was designed as an Haute Couture collection, echoing the world of Coco Chanel. Thus in the bedrooms, the pattern of the headboards evokes the famous Coromandel lacquer screens that the designer collected in her suite at the Ritz and in her apartment on rue Cambon.
Particular attention has been paid to textiles, in particular tweeds and woolens for the day, silks and prints for the night. Here, the NOOOR agency also invites us into the dressing room of an elegant Parisian, knowing how to marry floral and geometric prints.
Winks of glamour, the walls of each room are adorned with advertising posters produced from the 50s to the present day by the American fashion house Blackglama featuring big stars. And still in reference to fashion, the lampshades are dressed in a black tailor's braid.
In the bathrooms, the more masculine atmosphere counterbalances that of the bedrooms. Designed by the agency, the basins were made from a sleek block of Corian whose granite look brings a subtle raw touch to the space.
The breakfast room has been designed as a modular space that can accommodate 40 people, as well as coworking in an atmosphere that is both refined and friendly. Séverine, Laurent and Philippe favored the sobriety of the colors; the khaki walls are enhanced in places with a frieze of geometric patterns and golden tones. The white leather benches and the seats in mottled fabrics offer striking contrasts, highlighted by embroidered silk sconces inspired by a model from the 70s.
Finally, the lounge area equipped with an electric water vapor fireplace (and a sliding door) adds a nice smokehouse feel to the place.
Thanks to this new atmosphere focused on comfort and Parisian elegance, the Daunou hotel is one of the new addresses allowing you to rediscover the City of Light and reconnect with its heritage under the sign of the arts and creation.
