If you go to Italy, perhaps you will make a small detour to its capital, where the MAMMO restaurant is located, recently renovated by the architecture and design agency RPM proget, specialist in the hotel sector. -restoration.
In Trastevere, near Piazza Trilussa (an area popular with tourists from all over the world) is the MAMMO. A restaurant with an authentic look, whose decor was designed by the company RPM proget, famous for its love of vintage objects.
Architects constantly in search of authentic values and who work with many craftsmen to make their inspirations come true... They are constantly looking for old counters with original accessories, tables or even vintage sofas to give the places they furnish this extra soul that makes the difference...
Here, if the objective was to give a “new soul” to the establishment, the bet is successful! The space is furnished with an old beech wood counter, large lights suspended above to illuminate it, a Marelli fan from the 1920s, while the floor is clad in very thick sheet metal.
The walls, meanwhile, are covered in paintings by a Roman artist, which adds to the charm of the place. Moreover, the restaurant is located in a corner of the district where graffiti rub shoulders with the decorations of street artists, where street-art comes to embellish the traditional decor.
Here, the former is not has-been. And for good reason: the decoration was imagined by lovers of vintage.
Because RPM proget is the story of a Roman company born in 2003 from the association of architect Roberto Antobenedetto, interior designer Patrizia Pozzi and architect Michelangelo Pepè. A company so named in reference to the initials of the three partners, followers of authentic materials… like the design they love.
