Bright colors and brightness: these are the key words that define this house extension project, located in the immediate vicinity of the Gowanus Canal in Carroll Gardens, in the Brooklyn district of New York.

For this operation, the firm Barker Associates Architecture Office focused on every detail to optimize storage space.

The first floor, now more open, offers a warm living area with a cheerful atmosphere. The kitchen units, made from lacquer finished fir cabinets, match the rustic pine floors. The dining room is also located in the extension and has a window bench overlooking the backyard for guaranteed natural light whatever the season! Kitchen and dining room thus offer a harmonious living space where the family will enjoy getting together...

The second floor has been opened up at stair level to allow light to filter through. This level houses the children's bedrooms, where playful and colorful decoration gives life to vibrant spaces.

A beautiful realization signed Barker Associates Architecture Office.
