A sculptural villa extends over the promontory of Abbiadori, overlooking the magnificent Cala Volpe, in one of the most evocative settings of Sardinia. The work, designed by Fabio Mazzeo, strikes with its visionary character, which highlights the link between the residence and its natural setting in a game of permanent references.
Bespoke architecture where design is present at every level down to the smallest detail, giving life to a unique style. Art, design and craftsmanship intertwine with balance. A collective work, under the careful supervision of Fabio Mazzeo, artistic director of the company Exclusiva, and today of Fabio Mazzeo Architects, who says: "Our way of designing and building is rooted in an ideal of Italian beauty that does not is never static, but each time translates into a unique style modulated according to the client's wishes. And it is a goal that we achieve by involving talents and transversal skills. Artists, artisans, decorators, painters and all the creatives and designers of the Fabio Mazzeo team, in a holistic and organic vision of architecture”.
The common thread of the project is the travertine, which completely covers the villa and penetrates inside. A palette of precious marbles alternating between Navona, Noce, sand, bush-hammered and polished travertines provide movement and light, along with full-height windows that capture ever-changing views.
The fluid volumes seem to be drawn by the wind, following the orography of the land in a fascinating interaction with the natural setting. A 1300 m2 building built on three levels, in harmonious symbiosis with the 5000 m2 of terraced garden and the panoramic infinity pool.
