Encore Heureux : Petit Bain

For the Guinguette Pirate, the architecture firm Encore Heureux has designed "Petit Bain", a cultural equipment and floating auditorium, moored at the foot of the Bibliothèque François Mitterand in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

On this project, the agency Encore Heureux says:
"Determined by shipping constraints, the building is on three levels in a template 45 m long by 11 m wide and 6 m. The theater in double height, is submerged in the volume of hull. Extending the pit, the upper room houses the bar, changing rooms and toilets. at the dock, three walkways allow access to the ticket, the resource center and offices. An insertion restaurant offers views the seine float limit.
True extension of the public space of the dock, the terrace is open to enjoy the seine within a hanging garden. Almost invisible from the docks, color dresses horizontal walkways while the facades are wrapped with wood siding. "
