The company Area and designer Kim Sovann joined forces to create the Kyoto bench. A contemporary approach to the planning of public space embodied by these elegant sitting back to back with metal shelves and canopy.

Conceived as a real rest area, intimate and open, the Kyoto bench consists of two courses and a pergola made entirely of metal. The bank lines are made of steel strips, bent, folded and assembled with careful work finishes.

On this project, the designer Sovann Kim says:

"With the Kyoto bench, the approach is not to draw a bench more, but to question how to land in the city and landscaped areas, a new angle ..."
