Close your eyes and think hard about La Défense (92). You will see its towers, its hordes of suits and ties and its large arch. A marked landscape that changes every two years in the autumn, not thanks to the dead leaves and the colors of the trees (few in this panorama) but thanks to Public Form, Biennial of the street furniture, which decorates the famous square of seated high in color!
Straddled between Paris and the suburbs, La Défense is a unique territory, outside the shackles and has managed to create its own identity, far from Haussmann buildings fantasized. Landscape "American style", populated by many large towers, the business district of the capital is also characterized by its wide forecourt. "The huge pedestrian space we have is an ideal place to meet, share and bond. It does, however, require street furniture and equipment to welcome and arouse this life. " Marie-Célie Guillaume, Managing Director of Paris La Défense.
Thus, for the 4th edition of Public Form, no less than twelve modules punctuate this immense free space. Uniqueness of their kind, all had only constraints to respond aesthetically to the theme "The Generic" and at least two uses on the following four: the break, waiting, lunch and work.
If they are prototypes usually destined to disappear once the Biennial is completed, one of them will be adopted and deployed throughout the site. Which ? Well, it's up to us, simple users, to elect street furniture that will soon define the panorama of La Défense. So go on the forecourt to test the different elements, then on the site of Paris La Defense to elect your favorite.
An event that combines business with pleasure!
