Texas, in the southwest of the United States, the HKS architectural firm building the new sign Montcrief cancer center. Located on a 3,4 hectare site, includes administrative offices and research as well as public education space.
It also allows to host the Community Clinic Moncrief newly created that will support cancer patients after their treatment and follow up role.
On this project, Brian Ahmose, designer at HKS, said:
"The Institute of Cancer Moncrief was designed as a place where patients feel welcome through the orientation, color and the unique light of the material used. The random calepinage terracotta cladding and configuration on the facades for calm patients when they arrive in front of the glass came into "lobby.
For this project, more than 2 000m² cladding Slim Piterak® Terreal were placed vertically in the outer and inner facade. The architects have chosen a light color, champagne, and a random alternation of smooth and ribbed finishes.
The new Moncrief Cancer Institute opened its doors to the public last October.
