The Japanese company Asahipen has developed a painting of a new kind. Shinatsu called, meaning "anti-heat shield" in Japanese, it helps to block sunlight and thus reduce the indoor temperature in strong sunlight.

Designed for the residential market, the paint Shinatsu is intended for application on pitched roofs or terrace-type roofs. according to Asahipen the temperature of the roof can reach to 50 80 ° C in the middle of summer, temperatures that their solution reduces to 15 ° C. Their paint contains indeed a specific pigment providing a partial reflection of sunlight. This process allows to keep a lower internal temperature and thus reduce air conditioning costs and carbon emissions that result.

Available only on the Japanese market at the moment, Shinatsu is available in 8 shades for the applicable version of pitched roof (black, blue sky, blue ocean, green, red, brown and 2 gray) and 3 colors for friendly version terrace-type roofs (dark green, light green and gray).
