Un store à toile photovoltaïque

Last week in Stuttgart, at the last show R + T, was presented the first photovoltaic awning fabric. An innovative solution providing sun protection while allowing the production of electricity.

Developped by Dickson French manufacturer in partnership with Somfy, this hi-tech textile incorporates within it the photovoltaic cells. In less than 1 millimeters thick, light and flexible, they do not impede the winding of the canvas.

These cells, a life of 20 years, will ensure the product a yield of about 4% (40 Wp / m² for a sunshine 1 000 W / m²).

Equipped with a winding motor, an inverter, a control and a transmission system, the system will also include a weather station for optimizing energy production and preserve the cells, the blind occurring automatically in good weather and falling back into the wind.

From a minimum visual impact, this solution is expected to equip existing buildings with discretion and without major work.

Marketing from 2010, the canvas will be proposed at a rate of about 2 times that of a blind fabric midrange.

Similarly, a Japanese company has recently put on the market of windows with integrated photovoltaic cells, a coupling product domestic production of insulation and solar energy. To read our article on the subject is here.
