Un mur de béton à fibres optiques intégrées

concrete wall passing lights, colors and shadows, Con / Fiber is an installation created by architect Kengo Kuma at the Tokyo Fiber Senseware 09. The combination of concrete and transparency.

Developed in collaboration with the Austrian manufacturer Luccon and recently presented in Milan, this installation consists of small blocks of high strength concrete incorporating a fiber mesh.

At first glance these blocks have a concrete look quite conventional.

However, when exposed to a light source, natural or artificial, they will be traversed by light to form an animated display, a surface on which the light and shadow games, colors and shapes appear transparent.

With their profile angle, these blocks make up a three-dimensional wall relief created significantly increasing the contribution of potential light.
