BENCHMARK by Kingspan : Dri-Design

"You must never trust your first impression. " And yet ... the ventilated facades with BENCHMARK by Kingspan Dri-Design tapes, immediately mark the spirits. A constructive system available in several colors, finishes and dimensions offering a great freedom of rendering to the masters in search of originality and refinement.

Dri-Design is an innovative cassette system, designed by the high-end facade and Roofing System subsidiary BENCHMARK, at the origin of the Dri-Design modules. A product that stands out from the competition for its ease of installation, even on the most complex buildings, but also its low break time (up to twice as fast!). The cassettes can be mounted directly against a wall or with a ventilated cavity - even at an angle - like the Karrier QuadCore panels also developed by the brand. They are fixed on a secondary frame whose section of the metal uprights - which can be spaced 2 meters -, resumes the form of an omega. These are arranged in single or double network, depending on the direction of installation of the insulating sandwich panel it dresses. In addition to its undeniable technical properties, the coating offers an elegant design, without joints, declined in several series.

The first, Dri-Design Flat, offers easily assembled vertical cassettes, requiring no joints - mastic, butyl, or EPDM. An easy application and maintenance, which explains their choice by the American agency William Rawn Associates to cover the facades of the Bicknell Family Center of the State University of Pittsburgh (USA) realized in 2017.

Dri-Design Tapered, the second type proposed by BENCHMARK by Kingspan, allows to orient the elements in all directions, thus offering a large number of possibilities of assembly, for a dynamic visual rendering. A freedom that convinced Continuum Architects + Planners SC, the designers of Central Fleet Milwaukee (USA), as the lack of seals or sealing.

The third model, Dri-Design Shadow, allows even more creativity since it plays on the volumes, the depth and the contrasts by varying the height of the cassettes. A textured look found on the facade of Toronto's Regent Park Water Park (Canada) imagined by local firm MacLennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects.

Finally, thanks to a computer-aided manufacturing method, Dri-Design Perforé makes it possible to create any type of pattern or fresco by playing on the location and the density of perforations. The St. Joe Franciscan Medical Center in Washington (USA) designed by Perkins + Will is a good example of the possibilities this process offers.

Each of these four ranges has variable dimensions available in aluminum, copper, corten or stainless steel, zinc, ceramic granite and high pressure laminate. The recommended maximum dimensions are 1 520 x 760 millimeters and 3 050 x 610 millimeters in horizontal versions; 610 x 1 820 millimeters vertically, and 1 220 x 1 220 in square format.

An amazing panel that adapts to all desires. In addition, these elements are fully recyclable and fire resistant.

A unique facing at the height of the creativity of the architects who employ it.
