Some time ago, Alki and the Iratzoki & Lizaso studio set themselves a challenge: to create a work chair halfway between the ergonomic codes of the office and the universe of the Alki brand, characterized by softness and affectivity. .

It is from an observation that the new model presented by Alki was born: the aesthetic codes of the office chair were closer, until now, more to the “orthopedic” tool than to the work companion. In fact, users had little esteem for this tool, of which they ultimately used very little of the various features...

This is why the Lan chair totally goes against this trend by making the seat adjustments very discreet: the mechanism disappears under the seat and the armrests, which are an integral part of the backrest. Careful work has been done on the shape, the contact areas and the choice of materials in order to create a pleasant and relaxed object. Wood, Alki's favorite material, is used here both inside and outside the seat.

The functionality of the Lan seat allows it to adapt to a wide range of body types. Thus the synchronous mechanism integrated in the seat is self-regulating. It adjusts the tension of the backrest according to the weight of the user. The backrest can be locked at three different inclinations and its shape has been designed to allow the user great freedom of movement in twisting.

As for the design, it is sober, refined and elegant to adapt to all interiors, the office, of course, but also the house where we work more and more...
