Jaipur Rugs is an Indian company specializing in the design and manufacture of hand-knotted rugs. She will participate in Milan Design Week, from June 6 to 12, 2022 to present her new Brahmaand collection, imagined by designer Ashiesh Shah.

Jaipur Rugs' attention to traditional manufacturing techniques has resulted in a production model rooted in Indian territory. More than 40 weavers work for the brand, which is committed to showcasing the ingenuity and manual skills of its craftsmen.

The Brahmaand collection was born from the idea of symbolically exploiting the imagination linked to the cosmos through the use of shades of indigo and blue and geometries extracted from Indian architecture, reinterpreted here in pure forms. and archetypes.

The design of the rugs is inspired by studies that Ashiesh Shah conducted comparing ancient astral maps and representations of the sky, using the motifs of the main constellations.

Thus, the rugs in the collection, characterized by elongated, oval and circular profiles, bring out patterns as if they were mirrors of the sky, capable of reflecting the extension of space in all its depth...

Each rug is made of wool and silk treated by numerous manual operations and uses complex embroidery...
