The collective of Tigray artists “Tigray Art Collective” is organizing its second exhibition, a first in France at the Le Cerisier gallery. From July 21 to 23, the general French public will be able to discover works combining paintings, artistic performances and NFTs. Proceeds from the auction will be used for digital education projects for Tigrayan refugee children in Sudan.
Founded in 2021 by Mahder Tella and Gabrielle Tesfaye, the collective is made up of creatives from the Tigrayan diaspora with the aim of having a positive impact and raising awareness among the general public about the Tigray genocide taking place in Ethiopia.
Following a successful first exhibition in May 2022 in Chicago (United States), the collective is settling in the capital for the first time from July 21 to 23. On the program: 3 days of exhibition, performances and discussions with the various artists of the collective such as Gabrielle Tesfaye, Mahder Tella and Tewolde Brhan.
At the end of this exhibition, the works will be sold to support the learning and digital education projects of the association Haben Tigray, mobilized in the service of refugee children in Sudan.
