Nestled in the heart of the green valley of Vallons-de-la-Bièvre (92), the home of the archery company "Arc de Sceaux" is a building of great sobriety that elegantly dialogues with its environment. Designed by the Boman architecture studio, the building is designed in entirely natural materials, paying homage to this green lung in the middle of an urban environment.

For this project, the teams from the Boman agency have decided to build a home that respects the environment in which it is located. An ecological commitment that is found in the choice of mineral materials to achieve this set of 49 square meters of floor area. The house is built of perforated and load-bearing terracotta bricks, a material chosen for its biobased nature and its participation in saving materials. These bricks were assembled one by one on 3 to 4 rows per day and take place on a peripheral sole, thus creating a self-supporting aesthetic facade.

The sobriety of these walls is underlined by the presence of three round windows which encircle the landscape in the manner of a bucolic painting. Again, the choice of form is not trivial and refers to the world of archery and the silhouette of a target. The uniformity of the facades is also punctuated by the frames of the joinery and the door lintels in precast and stained concrete of pink tint. This rhythm and this geometry are also found in the addition of a large round sliding shutter in wood stained on rail with monumental proportions.

A surprising home in which we would play Robin Hood well!
