Playful and light, the Urban Art intervention "City Swings" was produced in Stockholm by the Swedes Akay & Peter. Sixty-five wild swings installed in the city.

From a few meters of rope and recycled materials, wood, tires and old crates, the creative duo has suspended sixty-five improvised swings in the Swedish capital.

Guerilla-style, a wild and spontaneous artistic intervention at the frontiers of urban design, "City Swings" invites each passer-by to play the game.

Freeing itself from authorizations and regulations, "City Swings" could only be ephemeral. A light, free approach, transforming the city, its use and its perception, for a few hours at least.

To find out more about Akay & Peter's work, visit their website or discover their work Urban Recreation.

In the same style, also discover the work of Bruno Taylor, recently noticed by Muuuz. With a few accomplices, this young designer has indeed diverted a London bus shelter by grafting a swing. An installation that invites us to think too about a playful and different practice of the public space. To read our article on the subject and discover a video of the installation, it is here.
