A challenge was launched: to build a one-storey house on a morphologically regular plot. Here, the surrounding area was urbanistically stabilized, with nearby several agglomerations made up of single-family houses and a few collective housing buildings.
TILT is the concept that generates the proposal and characterizes the three-axis rotational movement that constitutes the social space of the house. This movement made it possible to define the main entrance and, at the same time, to enhance the space intended for pedestrians and the swimming pool terrace.
This movement also brings a dynamic change to the height of the ceiling of the house, highlighting the area intended for the living room. The definition of the program was made according to the cardinal points, with particular attention paid to the solar rotation; thus, the space intended for the bedrooms was made to the east.
The parental suite approaches the southernmost part of this volume and connects to the exterior and more particularly, to the swimming pool. The kitchen has been placed in the center of the house, highlighting the different relationships with the various spaces that make up the program.
The room is located in a central area of the land, benefiting from east/south/west sunshine with always, here, visual contact with the outside environment.
In order to guarantee privacy and at the same time maintain the quality of light inside, two patios have been designed: one in the office and the other in the living room.
