In Livigno, the first private establishment built in anticipation of the 2026 Winter Olympics was born. It is also the new headquarters of Mottolino Fun Mountain. A work designed by the architect Anselmo Fontana of LPS and his team, back.
Here, a whole team of professionals took part in the operations: surveyor Matteo Mottini for the town planning, engineer Fabio Peri for the structural part and engineers from Pichler for the metal structures.
The interior design is the work of Progetto CMR, under the direction of the architect Massimo Roj. The interior furnishings, on the other hand, were made to measure in the workshop of Concreta, a Valtellina company focused on technological innovation.
The headquarters presents technical solutions for energy-saving installations, such as heat pumps. The ground floor is entirely glazed and without visible supporting structure. The goal ? Create continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, where there is a high-tech service center that houses Mottolino's offices and all sports-related activities. There are many facilities and services: ticket office, equipment rental, ski, snowboard and mountain bike schools, shops...
On the first floor, in a 300 square meter space overlooking the mountains, are the Gaming Room and the Ski Working Hub, environments designed for smartworking, coworking and streaming. On the second floor is the new restaurant Kosmo Taste the Mountain - Livigno & AlpiNN. It offers cuisine based on eco-responsibility. And for good reason, the restaurant's chef is none other than Norbert Niederkofler, who has three Michelin stars and one green star.
The bespoke furnishings also include a 13 meter long restaurant table, made from a single piece of cedar wood, complemented by a 24 meter wooden bar counter, made with the best technologies currently available. The store is characterized by wood and metal surfaces, the desks inspired by the aesthetics of ski facilities and the floors have been made of thick porcelain stoneware, whose appearance is reminiscent of volcanic rock.
Thus was born a "house" dedicated to those who wish to alternate skiing with pleasure and work, and which meets the needs of a young target, comfortable with all the possibilities offered by technology.
