Founded on the principle of democratizing architecture, the A+Awards is the industry's largest and most international awards program honoring the best architecture and spaces around the world.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, this season's program has been expanded to include the new A+Awards 'Firm of the Year' award, as well as the introduction of a diverse line-up of new jurors to help select the most innovative and striking contemporary architecture in the world. 

For their 10th edition, the A+Awards received over 5 entries from over 000 countries, including a plethora of innovative projects seeking to address the complex challenges facing the world today - from climate change to the pandemic from COVID 100 to urbanization and economic inequality. Jury members include Julie Eizenberg FAIA, FRAIA (founding director of Koning Eizenberg Architecture), Jasmit Singh Rangr (president and founder of Rangr Studio), Germane Barnes (director of Studio Barnes), Suchi Reddy (director of Reddymade), Yoko Choy (Chinese Editor of Wallpaper* magazine) and many others. 

One jury-selected winner and one people's choice winner were awarded in each of 117 categories, with over 400 votes from the public.

“The winners of this year's A+Awards not only provide a wonderful display of design innovation, but also compellingly demonstrate the enduring value of architects to society. around the world are tackling big challenges with big ideas, constantly striving to reimagine sustainable design, health-conscious architecture and socially responsible building,” said Paul Keskeys, Editor-in-Chief, Architizer.

Returning for its eighth edition, the annual compendium Architizer: The World's Best Architecture, first published by Architizer, will feature all of the 2022 architecture winners. definitive of the best buildings and spaces of the year.

Architizer's companion competition, the A+Product Awards, which recognizes the architectural products, materials, lighting and furniture behind the world's best buildings, will announce the winners in October 2022.
